How it works
Your first message is ready in under a minute.
Say what you sell
In one sentence: your product or service, no jargon.
Say who you prospect
A job title in a type of company: “HR directors at SMBs”, “web agency founders”.
Add your target’s problem
Optional, but it’s what makes the message land: what they deal with day to day.
Pick the ending and copy
A question (recommended) or a free resource to offer, with its link. Pick formal or casual, then generate.

Payroll software · HR directors at SMBs · Formal
Message
Hi {{firstname}}, in HR at an SMB, payroll often gets checked by hand at the end of every month. On the 28th, someone is probably going through every payslip line by line. Is that how it works at your company, or is it already automated?
Why it works: One problem, a scene the HR director recognizes, framed as a guess, and an easy question that makes them pick a side.
Ending with a free resource

SEO agency · Shopify store founders · SEO checklist + link · Casual
Message
Hey {{firstname}}, when you run a Shopify store, you probably add products without thinking about SEO. The product pages pile up, and Google only shows a handful of them. Here’s our checklist of the 12 things to check on a product page, it’s free: https://your-agency.com/shopify-checklist
Why it works: The scene is about the founder’s day-to-day, with no agency pitch. The resource is offered straight away, with its link, no pressure.

Prospecting message: do this, not that
The rules the tool applies to every message.
Do
- Talk about one problem: your target’s
- Describe a concrete scene from their day (Monday morning, the call in the middle of a meeting)
- Frame that scene as a guess, then check it with a question
- End with a short open question that’s easy to answer
- Talk about their situation (their role, their type of company)
- 40 to 50 words, easy to read on mobile
- Write the way you talk, one pro to another
- Start with “Hi {{firstname}}”
- Keep the same tone, formal or casual, all the way through
Don’t
- Stacking 3 benefits and your whole feature list
- Vague benefits: “save time”, “boost your sales”
- Stating what your prospect goes through as a fact
- Asking for a meeting or sending a calendar link in the first message
- “I saw your profile”, “I noticed that…” in a mass send
- A wall of text nobody reads
- Jargon: “innovative solution”, “digital transformation”
- Opening with just their first name, or flattering them (“congrats on your career”)
- “Quick question”, “Allow me to reach out”, “I hope this finds you well”
