How it works

Your post is ready in under a minute.

1

Write or paste your post

Straight into the text box, just like you would on LinkedIn.

2

Format it

Select a word, then pick bold, italic or strikethrough. Click again to remove the style.

3

Add emojis and bullets

Markers at the start of a line (✅, 👉, 🚀) make your post easy to scan at a glance.

4

Check and copy

The preview shows the “…more” cut-off, on desktop and on mobile. Copy it and paste it into LinkedIn.

A hook that holds before “…more”

Before

Today I wanted to talk to you about what we learned from our LinkedIn prospecting over the last six months, and what has changed for our sales team since we stopped sending generic messages.

After

We stopped sending generic messages. The result: 𝟯𝘅 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 in six months. Here’s what changed 👇

Why it works: The number and the promise are in the first two lines, and bold highlights just one part of them.

A list that reads at a glance

Before

To succeed at prospecting you need to pick your target well, write a short first message, follow up at the right time and track your results every week.

After

𝟰 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 for prospecting on LinkedIn: ✅ Pick your target well ✅ A short first message ✅ Follow up at the right time ✅ Track your results every week

Why it works: One idea per line, the same visual marker, and bold only on the lead-in.

LinkedIn text formatting: do this, not that

The rules for a readable post that makes people want to click “…more”.

Do

  • Put your hook in the first 2 lines, before “…more”
  • Keep bold for 2 or 3 key words
  • Use emojis as markers at the start of a line
  • Give it air: one idea per line, a blank line between blocks
  • Make lists with ✅ or 👉 for steps
  • Check the preview on mobile before you publish
  • End with a question to get comments going

Don’t

  • A whole sentence in bold: hard to read, and screen readers handle it badly
  • Bolding the words you want to be found for: LinkedIn search can’t read them
  • An emoji in every sentence
  • Mixing bold, italic and strikethrough on the same line
  • A wall of text with no line breaks
  • Fancy fonts (gothic, cursive): hard to read
  • Bold hashtags: they stop being clickable

LinkedIn has no bold button in posts. The tool swaps your letters for special characters that look bold: select a word, click B, copy the text and paste it into LinkedIn.
