LinkedIn connection note generator
A note is only worth it with a real reason. Pick yours: the tool writes a short note, under LinkedIn’s limit, or tells you to skip it.
No account needed. The acceptance numbers are right above the tool.
Your invitations go out on their own
Waalaxy sends your invitations, with or without a note, then your first message as soon as they’re accepted, and stops as soon as your prospect replies.

How it works
Your note is ready in under a minute, or you know you don’t need one.
Check the numbers
Without a note, acceptance is higher: 38% versus 33% with a personalized note.
Pick your reason
A meeting, an event, a resource to offer, a prospecting message… or none: in that case, no note.
Describe the context
Where you met, the event, the resource or the deadline. It’s the core of the note.
Copy your note
Pick formal or casual, generate and copy: the note always fits under 200 characters.

After meeting at a trade show
Context
Meeting · VivaTech on Thursday, French Tech booth, tech hiring
Note
Hi {{firstname}}, we met on Thursday at VivaTech, at the French Tech booth, talking about developer hiring. Did you manage to find the profiles you were looking for?
Why it works: The context is real and specific, the question picks the conversation back up, and the note stays under 200 characters.
To invite someone to a webinar
Context
Event · webinar on October 15 on payment delays · SMB finance directors
Note
Hi {{firstname}}, I’m hosting a webinar on October 15 at 11 am on cutting payment delays in industrial SMBs. I’ll send you the details once we’re connected.
Why it works: A clear reason to connect now, and no link in the note.

LinkedIn connection note: do this, not that
The rules the tool applies, taken from the Waalaxy method.
Do
- Only add one if you have a real reason
- Quote the exact context: the event, the mutual contact, the webinar
- Say in one sentence why you’re connecting now
- Stay under 200 characters
- Start with “Hi {{firstname}}”
- Offer the resource without a link: send it after the invitation is accepted
- End with a question tied to the context, or the exact next step
Don’t
- A note with no context: it lowers acceptance
- “I’d like to add you to my network”: it says nothing
- Pitching your offer in the invitation
- Adding a link (26% acceptance versus 38% with no note)
- Asking for a meeting before you’re even connected
- Making up common ground or a meeting that never happened
- Empty endings: “Looking forward to connecting”, “Happy to chat”
- “Quick question”, “feel free to”, flattery
